The school year is about to begin! This year has promised to be more'normal' in the sense that the kiddos will be attending in person classes. It also seems they may have to continue to wear masks. This adds additional challenges for children to be able to read social cues and communicate with their teachers and peers. Anxiety will be a part of a regular school day.
Play therapy is the evidenced based treatment for working with young children, Through play therapy with a resistered play therapist, a child is able to work through anxiety, stress and daily worries. A youngester does not always have words to express what their concerns are but toys become the replacemnt for words. Your child will be able to express in the play room any saddness, or other pain that needs to be released.
As parents return to offices and children to classrooms, families will need all of the support the community can provide. If your child needs a place to work through these new challenges we are available to help.
